Privacy policy
Last updated: March 13, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Vandreic ("I", "my", or "me") handles information when you visit this website. I am committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about my practices.
Information I collect
This website uses PostHog, a product analytics tool, to understand how visitors use the site. This helps me improve the website. PostHog may collect:
- Pages you visit and how you navigate the site
- Device and browser information (e.g. screen size, browser type)
- Approximate location (country-level, derived from IP when enabled)
- Referrer (the site you came from)
PostHog stores data in the EU (Frankfurt) via PostHog Cloud EU. I use PostHog Cloud EU to keep data within the European Union in line with GDPR. PostHog acts as a data processor on my behalf; I remain the data controller.
PostHog may use cookies or similar technologies to recognize returning visitors. For more details, see PostHog's privacy policy.
Cookies and consent
Analytics data is only collected when you choose to accept it. When you first visit, you will see a consent banner asking whether you accept or reject analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so you are not asked again unless you clear it or use a different device. You can change your mind at any time by clicking Cookie preferences in the footer.
Legal basis
I process analytics data only when you have given your consent via the consent banner. This complies with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. I only collect what is necessary to improve the website and do not sell or use your data for advertising.
How I use your information
Analytics data is used solely to improve the website—for example, to see which pages are most visited and how users move through the site. I do not use this data for marketing or to identify you personally.
Sharing your information
Data is processed by PostHog (PostHog Inc.) as my data processor. PostHog is contractually bound to process data only as I instruct and to protect it in line with GDPR. I do not share your data with any other third parties.
Data security
PostHog uses industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest. Data is stored in the EU. I do not have access to raw data beyond what is shown in aggregated analytics dashboards.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access – request a copy of the data held about you
- Rectification – request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure – request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction – request that processing be limited in certain cases
- Data portability – receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object – object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent – withdraw your consent at any time (e.g. via Cookie preferences)
- Lodge a complaint – lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g. Datatilsynet in Denmark, or your country's supervisory authority)
I will respond to any request within 30 days as required by the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, or if you have questions about this policy, please contact me using the details in the Contact section below.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for as long as necessary to improve the website. PostHog Cloud retention varies by plan (typically 30 days to 1 year for events). You can request deletion of your data at any time, and I will ensure it is removed within a reasonable timeframe.
Data processor and sub-processors
PostHog (PostHog Inc.) processes data on my behalf under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). PostHog may use sub-processors to provide its services; a list is available at posthog.com/subprocessors. All processing remains within the EU when using PostHog Cloud EU.
